Auto-complete address field

I really miss the ability to add an address field on my website. Ideally it would have auto-complete functionality built into it, so users just need to start typing (e.g. the name of the hotel they're staying) and the field shows all addresses with that letter sequence in a dropdown. Even better if the field can be restricted to only certain countries or certain cities.

Hi, I'd like to suggest a potential improvement to your forms: automatic GPS coordinate registration. This feature would greatly enhance scientific field surveys and various research projects. It appears that none of your competitors have yet tapped into the scientific survey market, as most seem to focus on economic surveys. Currently, KoboToolbox is the only app serving humanitarian and scientific fields, allowing users to create surveys and save GPS coordinates. As a scientist who frequently uses Notion for field data collection, I believe exploring this avenue could be beneficial. I know several scientific companies that would be very interested in such functionality. Adding GPS coordinate registration could give you a competitive edge in the scientific survey market. It would make your platform more versatile and appealing to researchers and field scientists.

Hi Tommaso Ruschi, thanks for your question. You can see here (https://tally.so/roadmap) that "address input" is on our roadmap! After we finish the first version of the Tally API, our current timeline estimate is to deliver this feature early 2025. Our current ambition is to have an "/address" block that allows form builders to collect full addresses from their respondents in a structured way in the free plan. Autocomplete is also likely to be available, but as part of the Business plan.

Ryan Gates: sorry for the delayed reply - we've postponed the release of this feature to an undefined date, possibly later this year. So creating this feature with an in-house developer is probably your best option, for now.

This is a major topic for us and the only reason which prevents us from using Tally. Should be a flexible solution to integrate any API for auto completions (so that it's not limited to just addresses). Is it currently on the roadmap / planned? Thank you very much!

Even simple validation of zip code formats or matching zips with city/town would be a great start. Happy to source the data with a third party app key. Or its a Pro feature maybe? Danke!

This is a MAJOR source of frustration for us with Tally. It takes hours for us to manually correct address data. Most people enter incomplete addresses and then we have to follow up with them manually or guess. If there was a prefilled option that would be great! I'd even be willing to use my own Google Maps API key for it if the costs are what y'all are concerned about.

I cannot agree more. Having an autocomplete address box helps with conversions in a MASSIVE way. This should definitely be included in the Pro Plan.

Was in the process of recreating my forms from JotForm and noticed there is no address block. Street Address, Street Address Line 2, City, State, Zip, Country. With the country being a dropdown with a list of options.

I think a broader version of this functionality is Searchable drop down list, for address it's connected with datasource which has all potential address listing flowing in which is getting filtered basis intial characters of address specified by user
